Overview
The department of Mechanical Engineering was started in the year 2007 with a sanctioned intake of 60 students. In the year 2011, the sanctioned intake was increased to 120 students. The PG programme in Engineering Design was started in the year 2012 with a sanctioned intake of 18. Even though it is one of the oldest Engineering disciplines, the career in mechanical Engineering was largely determined by their choices. The department renders services to meet the global needs of industries by motivating students to become professional Mechanical Engineers. The students are inculcated with the spirit of moral values and ethics to serve the nation. The department is organizing training programs in the latest softwares for the benefit of the students. The department is well equipped with all kinds of machinery, needed for successful completion of the course. The department organizes National Level Technical Symposium “Endhirautsav” every year as a part of department association activities. Students from various colleges in various technical events of the symposium. Through the department association, seminars, workshops, talk by eminent personalities are conducted.
