 Overview

  

    The department of Civil Engineering was started in the year 2009 with a sanctioned intake of 60 students. Civil Engineering is the oldest Engineering discipline. Civil Engineering deals with the design, construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, dams, canals and buildings and takes place on all levels: in the public sector and in the private sector. The students are trained to identify, formulate, and solve Civil Engineering problems and are provided with a broad and thorough education in fundamentals, applications and design which helps them to meet the technical and social challenges of the future. The department enriches the knowledge of students both theoretically and practically. The department of Civil Engineering is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities having advanced equipment’s and machineries. The department organizes National Level Technical Symposium “Civilithics” every year as a part of department association activities. Students from various colleges take part in various technical events of the symposium. Through the department association, various seminars, workshops, Talk by eminent personalities are conducted.

  1. Achieve a high level of technical expertise for succeeding in the civil engineering profession.

Programme Specific Outcomes (PSO’s)

  1. Design plans, analyse structures, create estimates and oversee large and small scale civil assignments.

  2. Understand the impact of civil engineering ventures and processes in a global, economic and societal context.

  3. Solve problems in structural, construction management, hydraulics, geotechnical, transportation and environmental disciplines in Civil Engineering.
